I grew up in Northwestern Pennsylvania and graduated from Edinboro State College (as it was then – now it is a University). After a few years in Washington DC, I spent 30 years living and working in New York City. Following my first husband’s death, I lived 10 years in rural upstate New York and started seriously writing poetry.
I studied poetry at The New School for Social Research with Richard Tayson and Malena Morling and also at various workshops with Sharon Olds, Kevin Young, and Thomas Lux. I belong to a wonderful group of poets in South Florida who meet monthly to critique each others poems and I benefit greatly from their comments and suggestions.
I am a lover of classical music, modern music, Opera, and Ballet and attend live performances, or HD Broadcasts whenever I can.
I moved to South Florida in 2003 where I live today. I have travelled extensively and continue to do so whenever I can. My travel photo albums are available on what is left of Picasaweb from Google, but access is restricted and you need an invitation. Please e-mail me at email@example.com and let me know if you want to view them. I will send you an invite.
I can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org. I welcome your comments. Please like my page to Facebook.
